Emily and Chris’s wedding day was one of those summer celebrations where everything just fell into place. Despite a forecast threatening rain, the skies stayed dry long enough for them to have a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and plenty of photos outside. It was humid, but the weather held off—and we couldn’t have asked for better conditions for capturing their day.
These two truly did all the things. They shared a sweet first look and private vows before the ceremony, allowing us to get lots of portraits and wedding party photos ahead of time. That meant they could actually enjoy their cocktail hour—a choice we always love to see!
Emily looked stunning in her gown with just the right touch of sparkle. Later in the evening, she surprised everyone by switching into her cowboy boots, joined by her bridesmaids and even her flower girl. Chris rocked an incredible lilac suit, complete with a paisley tie and a custom vest lined with jellyfish on the back—a detail that perfectly reflected his fun personality.
Their ceremony was beautiful, set against a venue adorned in many shades of lilac. The bridesmaids’ dresses, groomsmen ties, florals, and even the napkins tied together seamlessly for a vibrant, cohesive look.
One of the highlights was their choreographed first dance, which set the tone for a night of non-stop fun. Guests enjoyed dancing, a cigar bar, and cozy fireplace photos to cap off the evening.
Emily and Chris, thank you for letting us be part of your incredible day. You and your wedding party were an absolute blast to work with, and we loved capturing your celebration!
