Sometimes a wedding celebration happens all in one day, and sometimes the story gets told in two parts. Cheryl and AJ were officially married last summer during an intimate ceremony with their families at Boston City Hall, but they saved the bigger celebration with their extended family and friends for this summer at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA.
Their reception day started with the two of them arriving at Harrington Farm together before separating to get into their wedding clothes. Once they were ready, we brought them back together for a first look and spent time taking portraits around the property.
After couple photos, we finished family photos before guests started arriving for cocktail hour. It was a true July summer day with heat warnings, but Cheryl and AJ made sure everyone was comfortable. They provided handheld fans for their guests to use while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour outside under the Sperry tent and on the tent patio.
After a hot afternoon outside, everyone was happy to head into the air-conditioned reception space to continue celebrating. The evening was filled with great moments, including Cheryl and AJ’s first dance, thoughtful toasts from family and friends, and a combined parent dance.
The whole day was focused on what mattered most: celebrating their marriage with the people they love. Their guests spent the evening laughing, catching up, and filling the dance floor.
Later in the night, we snuck outside for sunset photos in the fields at Harrington Farm before heading back inside, where Cheryl and AJ finished the night dancing with their family and friends.
Congratulations Cheryl and AJ! We loved being able to photograph this second part of your wedding story.
