Andrea and Joel planned a truly fun surprise wedding at Harrington Farm in Princeton, Massachusetts. Their guests arrived expecting Andrea’s birthday celebration, only to be greeted at the door by Andrea and Joel in their wedding attire and quickly realize they were actually walking into a wedding.


From the moment guests entered, the reactions were priceless. Shock, laughter, and happy tears filled the room as everyone realized this was not just a birthday party, but a celebration of Andrea and Joel officially tying the knot after 27 years together. A pre-ceremony cocktail hour gave guests time to take it all in, grab a drink, and jump right into celebrating.


Harrington Farm was the perfect wintery setting, with snow on the ground creating a classic December backdrop. Inside, the space was filled with Christmas décor that made the celebration feel warm and festive. Trees flanking the fireplace were topped with oversized red bows, and for photos, Andrea wore a beautiful green, wintery cape that fit the season perfectly and added such a fun personal touch.


Andrea and Joel were clearly having just as much fun as their guests. Greeting everyone as they arrived and watching the surprise sink in was such a joy to witness. The entire day felt relaxed, joyful, and completely true to who they are as a couple.


Surprise weddings like this are a great reminder that there’s no one right way to get married. Andrea and Joel created a December celebration that reflected their story perfectly, and we loved capturing every reaction, laugh, and moment along the way.
