Some wedding days just have an incredible energy, and Shira and Brad’s October wedding at Harrington Farm in Princeton, Massachusetts, was one of them! From the beautiful Jewish traditions to the singing, dancing, and joy that filled the day, it was such a wonderful celebration of love, family, and community.
We couldn't have asked for better weather for a late October wedding in New England. It was unseasonably warm, with gorgeous light and just enough fall foliage still hanging on to make everything look beautiful. The blues, grays, and greens worn by the wedding party looked especially pretty against the autumn colors around Harrington Farm.
Shira and Brad started with a first look, and we took advantage of the beautiful weather to photograph the two of them around the grounds. We were also able to complete all of their wedding party and family photos before the ceremony, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the celebration.
One of the things that made this wedding so special was how much Shira and Brad included their family and friends in the traditions of the day. They invited all of their guests to arrive early and be part of their ketubah signing. During the gathering, Shira and Brad read the personal vows they had written for each other and they signed their ketubah. There was such a warm sense of community, with singing, joy, and so much love surrounding them.
From there, everyone headed inside the barn for the ceremony beneath their gorgeous chuppah in front of the fireplace. The ceremony was filled with meaningful Jewish traditions, including the circling, the Seven Blessings read by family and friends, and the breaking of the glass. It was beautiful to see so many people take part in such an important moment for Shira and Brad.
After the ceremony, guests headed to the tent for cocktail hour while we snuck away with Shira and Brad for a few more photos. The late October light was absolutely gorgeous, and we caught some beautiful golden hour and sunset photos before they headed to join the celebration.
The reception inside the barn was every bit as fun as the rest of the day! Shira and Brad kicked things off with a perfectly choreographed first dance, followed by a hora that seemed to go on and on. The energy on the dance floor was incredible, with everyone celebrating together!
Throughout the evening, there were lovely toasts, a trivia game for the guests, cake cutting, and parent dances. And of course, plenty more dancing! At one point, the whole dance floor turned into a sing-along, which was so much fun to watch.
Another particularly special moment was the Krenzl, a Jewish tradition honoring Shira's parents. They sat in the center of the dance floor and were presented with flower crowns while guests danced around them. It was such a joyful way to celebrate their family and another example of how meaningful the traditions were throughout the day.
The evening ended with a fun send-off filled with bubbles and glow sticks, a perfect finish to a wedding that had been full of excitement from beginning to end.
Shira and Brad's wedding was such a great reminder of how special it is when a couple brings their family, friends, and traditions together in a way that feels completely their own. We loved being part of this celebration and capturing all of the wonderful moments along the way. Congratulations, Shira and Brad!
