Alison and Travis | Morning Wedding at Barn at Gibbet Hill
Alison and Travis chose a morning wedding at Barn at Gibbet Hill, beginning their day high above Groton at the castle ruins before celebrating in the barn below. It was a gorgeous day in a truly spectacular setting, with clear skies and sweeping views that made every part of the celebration feel elevated and relaxed at the same time.
They shared their first look in the field with the cows grazing quietly in the background. It was such a perfect reflection of Gibbet Hill’s character, rustic, peaceful, and distinctly New England. The open landscape gave them space to take a breath together before the ceremony, and the light that morning was soft and beautiful.
The ceremony at the castle ruins was unforgettable. Spectacular florals decorated the stone walls, adding color and texture while still letting the historic setting speak for itself. The combination of the rugged ruins, rolling hills, and thoughtfully designed flowers created a backdrop that felt timeless and unique.
After the ceremony, guests made their way down to the barn for the reception. The warmth of the wood interior paired beautifully with the bright, joyful energy of a morning celebration. Natural light poured in, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable from start to finish.
Alison and Travis planned a day that felt true to them, relaxed, meaningful, and full of intention. From portraits in the field to florals at the ruins and dancing in the barn, their wedding at Gibbet Hill was a beautiful reminder of how special this venue can be.
We are so grateful to have been part of it.
