October weddings in New England are hard to beat, especially when you get a day like Lizzie and Bryan had at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA. The weather was gorgeous, with that warm, golden October light that makes fall weddings so beautiful. The wind gave us a little bit of a challenge during their first look and formal photos, but by the time the ceremony rolled around, it had settled down and the rest of the day couldn't have been better. It was the perfect setting for a day filled with family, friends, a couple of very cute dogs, and some adventurous photos in the field!
We started with Lizzie and Bryan's first look before taking care of wedding party and family photos ahead of the ceremony. Their dogs, Oakley and Boone, even got to be part of the day, which made for some pretty adorable moments. Having those photos finished early gave everyone more time to enjoy the celebration after the ceremony.
A friend officiated their ceremony, making it even more personal. With their family and wedding party photos already taken care of, Lizzie and Bryan were able to use cocktail hour for some couple portraits around the Harrington Farm grounds. And they couldn't have picked a better time! The late afternoon sun gave us that incredible golden October light, and we made the most of it.
And this is where Lizzie earns the adventurous bride award!
She wanted to go right into the field for some romantic photos in that beautiful light. If you've ever seen photos of couples standing in a field with the sun setting behind them, you might think it looks easy. But navigating tall grass and uneven ground in a wedding dress and shoes is a lot harder than it looks! Lizzie was completely in, and the photos were absolutely worth the adventure.
Back inside, Lizzie and Bryan celebrated with their family and friends. There were some lovely toasts, plenty of laughter, and a dance floor that kept everyone busy. We even managed to sneak outside for a nighttime photo before heading back in to enjoy the rest of the party.
To finish the evening, Lizzie and Bryan shared a private last dance together before making their exit through a crowd of guests waving glow sticks and blowing bubbles. Such a fun way to end an incredible day!
Congratulations, Lizzie and Bryan! We loved being part of your wedding and getting to capture all of it, from those beautiful October portraits to the very last dance.
