Some rain wasn't about to slow down Ashley and Cullen's wedding day at The Barn at Wight Farm in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Surrounded by an incredible group of family and friends, they embraced every moment and ended up with a day that was full of laughter, great energy, and an unforgettable celebration.
The morning began with the guys getting ready at the Wellsworth Hotel while the ladies spent the morning at Christy & Co. Ashley's bridesmaids wore beautiful blue dresses that stood out perfectly against the soft gray skies, while Cullen and his groomsmen looked sharp in tan suits.
With such a large wedding party, Ashley and Cullen chose not to do a first look but did photograph the separate sides of the wedding party before the ceremony. It helped the day flow smoothly while still saving that first moment together for the ceremony.
Although rain was in the forecast, we were lucky enough to find breaks in the weather that allowed us to head outside for portraits throughout the day. The overcast skies created beautiful, even light, and the grounds at The Barn at Wight Farm looked especially vibrant after the rain.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was having Cullen's father officiate the ceremony. It made the exchange of vows feel even more personal and created memories their families will always cherish.
To kick off the reception, Ashley and Cullen shared a beautiful first dance. Ashley then shared a dance with her mom, and Cullen danced with his mom. Before opening the dance floor, everyone gathered for a fun group photo, and before long the dance floor was packed. With guests joining them from so many different parts of their lives, the celebration had an incredible atmosphere from start to finish.
Rain may have been part of the forecast, but it certainly wasn't what defined Ashley and Cullen's wedding day. What stood out most was the joy, the people who surrounded them, and the excitement everyone shared as they celebrated the beginning of their marriage.
