Chris and Eric’s wedding at VUE Cocktail Lounge was one of those days that felt different right from the start. As one of the first weddings at this new Worcester venue, it was exciting to photograph a celebration in a space that feels fresh, modern, and unique to the city.
Set on the 23rd floor, VUE lives up to its name. The glass tower offers sweeping, 360 degree views of Worcester and the surrounding hills, creating a backdrop that shifts throughout the day.
Chris and Eric told me early on that their priority was simple. They wanted to be surrounded by their people, spend time together, and have an incredible dance party. That energy shaped the entire day, and it showed in every moment.
We started with photos on the Worcester Common during a rainy Saturday afternoon. After couples photos, we headed back inside to the 24th floor for family photos. As the day went on, the rain cleared and it turned into a beautiful evening, with the city views really opening up from above and gorgeous sunset views.
Their ceremony, officiated by friends, felt relaxed and personal. It was a meaningful way to begin the celebration, surrounded by the people who know them best. One of the standout moments came during the toast, when their son Wyatt, who also stood as best man, delivered an excellent speech that brought the room together.
From there, the night shifted exactly the way they hoped it would. The dance floor filled up quickly and stayed that way. Disco balls throughout the space added to the energy, and it turned into a full dance party.
Between the skyline views, the modern space, and the atmosphere Chris and Eric created, this wedding was a perfect example of how a great location and great people come together. Great food, great people, great views, and a packed dance floor made it a really fun day all around.
Chris and Eric, thank you for having me there to capture it.
