Kristina and Eric’s wedding day at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill was the perfect reminder that rain doesn’t have to change the feel of a wedding day. Their celebration was intimate, relaxed, and focused on spending time with the people closest to them, with fewer than 30 guests gathered for the ceremony and reception.
The day started at a charming old farmhouse Airbnb where they got ready together. With steady rain outside, the farmhouse ended up being the perfect setting for photos. Kristina and Eric shared their first look there, and we used the covered porch and cozy interior spaces for portraits while staying dry. The rain gave everything a quiet, calm atmosphere that fit the day really well.
Afterward, we headed to New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill for couple’s photos before the ceremony. One of the best parts about rainy weddings at Tower Hill is the greenhouse spaces. The lush plants and soft natural light inside the conservatories create an incredible setting no matter the weather. The cloudy skies worked perfectly in our favor, giving us beautiful soft light throughout the greenhouse portraits without any harsh sun.
Their ceremony took place in The Orangerie with music performed by The Trillium Trio. Kristina walked down the aisle to “Today” by The Smashing Pumpkins, which made for a really memorable moment. Eric’s sister officiated the ceremony, making everything feel even more personal and meaningful. Their vows were thoughtful, emotional, and perfectly matched the intimate atmosphere of the day.
After the ceremony, we moved into The Limonaia for family and group photos with guests before everyone made their way into The Great Hall for the reception. Before dinner began, we gathered everyone together for a full group photo to kick off the evening.
The reception itself felt warm and relaxed, with lots of conversation, laughter, and time spent celebrating with family and close friends over dinner. It was the kind of wedding where everyone truly got to slow down and enjoy being together.
Before finishing coverage for the night, Kristina and Eric fully embraced the rain for some adventurous nighttime portraits around the grounds of New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill. The gardens were beautifully lit after dark, and the rain added even more atmosphere to the photos. We explored the boardwalk areas and the Winter Garden near the pool and turtle fountains for some dramatic final portraits to end the night.
It was so great to be a part of their day! Congratulations Kristina & Eric!
